Kanchanjunga Trek to Gochala
Kanchanjunga / Yoksum to Gochala Pass Trek
Day 01: Arrive Bagdogra Airport Or NJP Railway Station Or Bhadrapur Airport. Drive up the Teesta valley to Gangtok the capital of Sikkim. Hotel.
Day 02: Gangtok town & Rumtek Monastery sightseeing. Hotel.
Day 03: Drive Gangtok to Yoksum. Visit Tashiding Monastery enroute. Lodge or Camp.
Day 04-05: Trek through dense forested valleys and hillsides to the Tibetan settlement of Tshoka. Next day continue ascending through rhododendron forests to the alpine meadows of Dzongri. Camps.
Day 06: Day at Dzongri. Climb Dzongri Top for sunrise/sunset views. Optional hike to Dzongri Pass and Ratong Valley. Camp.
Day 07-08: Trek up the valley to Thangsing and Samiti Pokhari. Camp.
Day 09: Day Hike to Goecha La Pass (4940m). Camp.
Day 10-11: Return trek to Tsokha and Yoksum. Camp.
Day 12: Drive to Yoksum to Kalimpong. Hotel.
Day 13: Transfer to to Bagdogra Airport (or NJP Railway Station or Bhadrapur Airport or next destination) for departure. Tour Ends.
What you get to see during the trek: Trek to the foot of Mt. Kangchanjunga the 3rd highest peak in the world. Trek from Yoksum to Goechela pass at 5000m. A world of subtropical forests, rhododendron forests, alpine meadows where the hairy yak heards graze to the high valleys surrounded by glaciers and snow capped peaks of the Kanchenjunga range. A trek to one of the last remaining prestine Himalayan wilderness.

Day 06: Morning climb Dzongri Top for sunrise views. Camp. Afternoon return trek to Tsoka. Tents or Trekkers' Hut.
Day 07: Trek back to Yoksum. Tents or Lodge.
Day 08: Drive to Bagdogra Airport, NJP Railway Station or Bhadrapur Airport. Or onward jurney to Darjeeling or Kailimpong.
What you get to see during the trek: Trek to Dzongri Ridge in the Kanchenjunga National Park. Trek through virgin rhododendron forests and experience the native culture of Sikkim. Climb Dzongri Top at sunrise to enjoy spectacular close up views of Mt. Kanchanjunga, Kabru, Pandim and many other snow capped peaks.

North Sikkim - Tholung Valley Trekking
Tholung Valley Trekking Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive Bagdogra Airport, Bhadrapur Airport or NJP Railway Station. Drive to Bagdogra to Gangtok (1600m). O/N Hotel.
Day 02: Full day sightseeing around Gangtok including Rumtek Monastery. O/N Hotel.
Day 03: Drive north of Gangtok to Mangan and on to Singhik. Enroute visit Podong Monastery. O/N camp at Singhik.
Day 04: Enjoy early morning views of Kanchanjunga range from Singhik. Drive from Singhik to the road-head at Lingsha. Start trek to Tsana (1573m) in Tholung valley. O/N camp.
Day 05: Continue trekking up the valley to Tholung Gompa (2600m).

Afternoon visit the little known Tholung Monastery. O/N camp near Monastery.

Day 06: Day of exploration hike up the Tholung Valley. O/N camp.
Day 07: Trek back to Lingsha. End of Tolung Valley Trek. O/N Camp.
Day 08: Drive back to Gangtok. Afternoon free in Gangtok. Overniht hotel.
Day 09: Free day in Gangtok. Optional day trip to Thangu Lake. Hotel.
Day 10: Drive to Bagdogra airport for flight to Calcutta or Delhi. Or to Bhadrapur for flight to Kathmandu, Nepal.
Tholung valley in North Sikkim is the home of the ethnic Lepcha people of Sikkim and is now a protected area. The lepchas live in small villages amongst the dense forested slopes high above the Tholung valley. The Tholung monastery houses many relics and antiques collected from other monasteries for safe keeping. Many of these relics are displayed on a special day every three years. The trek up this beautifully forested valley leads to the higher alpine valleys where yaks graze below the snow capped mountains of the Kanchanjunga range.

Green Lake Trekking and Zemu Glacier at the base of Mt. Kanchanjunga. Meet the Lachenpas the inhabitants of Northern Sikkim and trek to East Base Camp of Mt Kanchanjunga at Green Lake from the eastern side. Trek through villages, hills and river valleys along the foothills of the great Kanchanjunga Range. Pristine areas and villages visited by a very few westerners till today. Newly opened, little trekked, area close to the Tibetan border in North Sikkim. Spring is best for many varieties of rhododendron and high altitude plant life. Spring/summer treks are of interest to birdwatchers and flowring plants.

North Sikkim is a land of the Bhutia & Lepcha tribes. Discover the Hidden treasure of North Sikkim, valleys carpeted with wild flowers that bloom in the spring and summer. This trek can be done by both young and old and is of special interest to the nature lover. During this trek you can enjoy an abundance of wild flowers, the rare blue poppy, many variety of rhododendrons, rhubarb, amongst many other species. Noera Valley Nature Reserve is one of the last remaining pristine ecosystems of the Eastern Himalaya with its amazing bio-diversity, and is home to many rare and endangered, plants, animals and birds. This trek starts from Lava and treks through the richly forested hills and valleys to reach the 3152 Meters high, Rachela Pass at the India-Bhutan border. The return trek is through the farmlands and villages of Rishi River Valley with its ethnic hamlets, cardamom plantations, cascading streams and waterfalls. Very few westerners have visited this hidden natural jewel and if you are looking for an easy trek in an area rich in natural history and beautiful views this is just the trek for you.
